No! The 911 Guardian Phone uses your home phone line. It does not require the use of cellular service.
Do you have to be near a base station for 911 to hear you?
No! Because the 911 Guardian phone is the world's smallest cordless speakerphone, you can speak directly to an operator instantly from anywhere in or around the home. This is the only product that allows you to speak from ANYWHERE in your home, not just within 50 feet of a speakerphone. The pendant range is about 600 feet! It will cover large homes and even a short distance outside your home.

How do I install the 911 Guardian Phone?
The 911 Guardian Phone is extremely simple to install. You just plug it into your existing phone line/jack or additional data output found on some newer phones.
Can I use two or more 911 Guardian Phone pendants with the same base station?
No. Only one (1) pendant can be used with each base station.
Can 911 Guardian Phone be used on a phone line without local phone service?
No. The 911 Guardian Phone requires a working phone line with 911 service and tone dialing.
Can 911 Guardian Phone be used with pulse-only dialing?
No. The 911 Guardian Phone requires tone dialing.
Can I reprogram the 911 Guardian Phone to dial another phone number besides 911?
No. The 911 Guardian Phone will only dial 911.
Can I use 911 Guardian Phone on a phone system where the user is required to dial 9 or another number to reach an outside line?
No. The 911 Guardian Phone will only work on a phone line with direct access to make a 911 call.
Can I wear the 911 Guardian Phone while sleeping?
No. To prevent accidental activation of the 911 Guardian Phone, do not wear the pendant while sleeping. Instead of wearing the pendant while sleeping, place the pendant within easy reach of your bed (on a nearby stand or table).
Can I use the 911 Guardian Phone in my home if I have DSL?
If your home has DSL service for your computer, you will need to use a DSL filter in line with the 911 guardian phone base station OR IT WILL NOT WORK. A DSL filter can be obtained from a local electronics supplier or your DSL service provider.
