“Why not just use a cell phone instead of the SkyAngel911FD™?”
Some basic problems calling 911 from a cell phone include:
1. Cell phones are not always readily available. They may be in a purse or not easily reachable. SkyAngel911FD is a small wearable device ensuring easy access when needed.
2. Cell phones may be outside your particular carrier's service area and not able to call 911. SkyAngel911FD will use all available carriers to ensure your call reaches 911.
3. To call 911 on a cell phone requires opening the phone or swiping the phone to activate the dialing sequence. This is a multi-step process that takes valuable time. Contacting 911 on the SkyAngel911FD is as simple as pressing 1 button.
5. All cell phones DO NOT send GPS coordinates. Your phone may have a GPS feature on it, but that information may not be sent to 911. SkyAngel911FD has GPS capability.
"Can I try it and cancel if I am not satisfied?"
Yes, there is a 30 day return policy. All shipping costs, both ways, are the responsibility of the customer including our original shipping/handling costs to ship the SkyAngel911FD to you, the shipping/handling costs will not be refunded upon return.

SkyAngel911FD™ is simple to use. Press the emergency button and it automatically places a call to the 911 call center closest to your location.
"How do I set it up?"
Easy! The SkyAngel911FD™ device doesn’t require any setup on your part. We perform quality checks and take great care in preparing it for use. The only thing you need to do with the device is make sure it’s charged and turned on.
"Can I wear it in the shower?"
Yes, the SkyAngel911FD model can be worn in the shower, it is totally waterproof for up to 10 minutes totally submerged under water.
"Can I use it in Canada?"
Yes, the SkyAngel911FD™ will work in the U.S. and Canada.
"How Accurate is GPS?"
The precision that 911 will be able to locate the unit can range from several feet to hundreds of feet. This unit has full two-way voice communication and that should be the primary method to direct assistance to the user. Watch this video below for more information. "Can I put my own SIM card in this and make it call numbers other than 911?"

"Is there a warranty?"
Yes, there is a 1 year limited warranty on all of the equipment. If there are any problems in the first year we will replace the part or the entire system. The battery is covered under a 6 month warranty.
"Is there a troubleshooting guide for situations with my unit?"
I want to advise management of the wonderful customer service provided. We purchased a Sky Angel unit for my Dad. Had trouble connecting to satellite and I was stressing because of our vacation. Customer service worked to delligently fix the issue , They then consulted with the team to make sure it worked properly. Thanks to all who looked at this problem. The type of service and hours invested to get this unit functioning is very rare . She was kind, compassionate and professional. An excellent person to represent your company!

On April 23rd 2023 I got up at approximately 12:30am, my blood pressure dropped and I fell to the floor. As soon as I hit the floor my SKYANGEL went off. I was able to give my address to the 911 operator. If I had not had my SKYANGEL I would have been laying there for hours as I was not expecting company until the next afternoon. I had 3 compressed fractures to my spine. WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS MY SKYANGEL IS WORTH EVERY PENNY I PAID FOR HER. SHE IS ALWAYS IN MY POCKET EVEN WHEN I GO TO BED. DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY HER IT REALLY GIVES YOU PEASE OF MIND. OH!! BY THE WAY I'M 80 years old.
I like the direct 2-way speakerphone to 911, and no monthly contract. ... Heavily advertised Life Alert has a monthly contract. Over 3 years, the cost would be $3,762 as compared to Sky Angel 911 FD 3-year cost of only $180. ... I bought one for my wife also.
79 years old, with several health conditions: Because it is comfortable, I wear it every day. I tested it once in the place I was most likely to fall (bottom of the stairs). It worked just fine with the drop motion. I will test it in a month in the kitchen to make sure appliances don’t block the signal. I’ll update this post then. And I always put it on the floor in the bathroom where I can reach it if I fall out of the shower. No, I don’t sleep with it, but it is on the headboard where I can reach it if I need it, and the blinking light on it tells me where it is in the dark.Update: Been wearing this for six months now. Test it monthly. Charge it every other night. Funny story: I was at the children’s museum, earthquake exhibit, jumping up and down on platform to see how strong and earthquake we could produce. Suddenly the 911 operator was talking to me thru SkyAngel. We all laughed and apologized to the operator.
14 months after purchase, it is still working just fine.

I am an active 87 year old-live alone, garden, drive, etc. My home is pre-war solid brick in a densely treed area, which creates problems for all WiFi. Before this unit, I had a monitored service with a 30$ monthly fee. The reps were unable to answer any of my questions When I purchased this alert, I had problems with it notifying 911. The rep always returned my calls, answered all my questions, sent several external antennas and then a new unit. I test it monthly at home, inside and out, and in my car. It works every time, everywhere. It is sensitive to movements that jolt it. My police department has my house key, so EMS can enter if I fall at home alone. I love my SkyAngel! Look forward to an improved version with GPS.
